River Fruin !

The River Fruin is the other main river, located on the west side of Loch Lomond. In years gone by, the river had a great reputation for providing first class Salmon and Sea Trout fishing. Recently has seen a resurgence in Salmon numbers and the size of the fish can be quite remarkable for a spate river. The L.L.A.I.A have most of the fishing on the Fruin. The Fruin is fly only and provides true spate river fishing so being at the right place at the right time is paramount to success.
Fly Fishing the Fruin
This river only requires a single handed fly rod. When clearing after a spate a General Practitioner or Ally's Shrimp, tied on a size 10 treble can be productive.
